Classes
Physical Therapy department has three lecture rooms
for second, third and fourth year students. The capacity of each one is about
90 students and they all are equipped with the latest and high quality audiovisual
aids in addition to smart board.
Laboratories
Physical
therapy department has four different laboratories to help the students in
different academic years in practical application. These laboratories are:
1-Biomechanical Lab: having instruments which are used to measure joint
range of motion, muscle performance of different muscles in addition to
postural analysis and measurement of spinal and postural deformities.
2-Electrotherapy Lab: having many instruments which are used for pain
relief, wound care, muscle weakness and muscle spasm, muscle
and nerve electrical stimulating devices, LASER, IR, UV, magnetic field and
ultrasound.
3-Hydrotherapy Lab: having therapeutic instruments which depend on
physical properties of water as therapeutic pool, cold therapy, hot and cold
packs, paraffin wax and others.
4-Therapeutic Exercise Lab: having instruments which are used for therapeutic
exercises such as; muscle strengthening and stretching exercises, spinal
traction, balance exercises, postural exercises and others.
